Rights, Terms, & Fair Use

Welcome to uiux.pics. We are a curated library of digital design patterns, built by designers, for designers. Because our platform features screenshots of existing applications and websites, it is important to understand the legal and ethical framework of our collection.

1. Ownership & Intellectual Property

uiux.pics does not own the designs featured on our site.

  • All trademarks, logos, brand identities, and interface designs are the sole property of their respective owners (the “Rightsholders”).
  • The inclusion of a screenshot on this site does not imply an affiliation with or endorsement by the brand shown.
  • Our “curation” refers to the act of capturing, organizing, and tagging these designs for research—not the creation of the underlying intellectual property.

2. Fair Use Statement

Our platform operates under the Fair Use doctrine (and similar international “Fair Dealing” provisions). We believe our service is transformative and beneficial to the design community for the following reasons:

  • Educational Purpose: We provide these screenshots as a reference for UI/UX patterns, helping designers learn industry standards and improve digital accessibility.
  • Non-Competitive: uiux.pics is an archival research tool. It is not a substitute for the original apps or services. Using our site to see a checkout flow is not the same as using the actual app to buy a product.
  • Transformative Nature: We add value through categorization, flow mapping, and metadata that allows for comparative analysis—something the original apps do not provide themselves.

3. Permitted Use (The “Dos”)

We want you to get inspired, but please play fair:

  • Do use these screenshots for mood boarding, internal presentations, and design research.
  • Do use our library to analyze user flows and solve complex UX problems.
  • Do credit the original app creators whenever you reference a specific design in a public case study.

4. Prohibited Use (The “Don’ts”)

  • Don’t use these screenshots to create “copy-paste” clones of existing apps.
  • Don’t scrape our database to build a competing product.
  • Don’t represent these designs as your own work. That’s just bad karma (and legally actionable).

5. Take-Down Requests (DMCA)

We respect the hard work of product teams. If you are a Rightsholder and believe your work is being used in a way that exceeds Fair Use, or if you simply prefer your app not be featured in our library, we will honor your request.

Please contact us at contact@uiux.pics with:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work.
  2. The URL of the screenshot(s) in question.
  3. Your contact information and proof of authority.
